Fresenius
Product development you trust.

The same research and development expertise that brought you the industry-leading Fresenius Polysulfone® Dialyzer Series and the 2008 Series Hemodialysis Delivery Systems have now revolutionized blood flow delivery with the introduction of its CombiSet True FlowTM series bloodlines.

The accurate and consistent blood flow delivered by a bloodline is not related to a singular component - but rather to the entire arterial and venous system. Thus, extensive polymer research, in conjunction with precise manufacturing process control, has resulted in a bloodline that withstands the stresses that occur during the dialysis treatment. The result is a blood flow rate that runs true from start to finish.

CombiSet True Flow
a blood flow rate you trust

The CombiSet True Flow Series provides a more efficient dialysis treatment by delivering more accurate blood flow rates to the dialyzer, resulting in higher solute clearances, higher URRs and Kt/V.

Despite other manufacturer's claims of high flow capability, the CombiSet True Flow Series delivers the most accurate and consistent blood flow over extended periods of dialysis time - as confirmed with ultrasonic measurement during InVivo clinical testing.

Accurate blood flow rates are simply not a "given" with any other bloodline. Other bloodlines are more susceptible to specific component degradation over time resulting in decreased actual delivered blood flow. Clinical studies demonstrate the superior flow performance over other major competitors – even over a 24 hour period.

Familiar features
fine-tuned for True Flow

The heart of the CombiSet True Flow Series rests in the newly-designed blood pump segment. Specially blended polymers and state-of-the-art extrusion technology result in a pump segment designed for maximum refilling with each roller pump stroke even in cases of high negative arterial pressure.

The True Flow Series maintains the CombiSet heritage of size-matched line components that do not require bushings as other bloodlines do. This provides a smooth transition of blood through the extracorporeal circuit resulting in lower resistance and maximized laminar flow.

Drip chamber design of the Fresenius True Flow Series features beveled downspouts resulting in low turbulence and reduced foaming. Our drip chamber filter is specially designed to reduce resistance to flow thereby reducing the potential for clotting.

Unlike other manufacturers' venous drip chambers made of more rigid materials which can result in increased stress on air detection sensors, the True Flow Series utilizes a pliable venous drip chamber engineered for "optimized fit" to the Fresenius 2008 machine air detection system.

Our CombiSet has been optimized for length, packaging, and overall weight to reduce hazardous disposal costs while at the same time improving storage capability.

Safety first for
patients and staff

Fresenius is proud of its unparalleled reputation in product safety performance. Safe SeptumTM injection sites that accommodate both sharp and blunt needles, together with our needleless access priming set reduces the potential for contaminated needle sticks. The raised safety edge on our injection sites helps prevent accidental needle slippage.

Our viral-retentive transducer protector (TP) protects both patients and staff from cross contamination.* The larger surface area of the TP membrane improves the accuracy of the pressure transmission even when the membrane is wet.

A key hallmark for safety has and continues to be the high degree of kink-resistance of our blood tubing. Thicker blood tubing walls provide maximum protection against potential hemolytic incidents secondary to line kinks without compromising ease of use.

Fresenius is quality

Quality is synonymous with Fresenius dialysis products. Over a recent eighteen month period, ending June 2002, Fresenius CombiSets displayed 5 times fewer complaints than our competitor's ReadySets**.
